📌 Hello, Italy!
This time, I’m happy to share a selection of beautiful photographs
taken by an artist I had the pleasure of meeting this year—Natsuko.
When I first encountered her work, I was deeply moved by their amazing beauty
and her passion. They felt like more than travel snapshots—
they carried a way of seeing the world.
I thought it would be wonderful to share these moments here,
so that you, too, might glimpse Venice through an artist’s eyes.
🎨 About the Artist

Natsuko is a Tokyo-based artist whose work is guided by intuition
and a deep sensitivity to place.
In 2025, she took part in a special program in Italy,
spending several weeks in Venice with a rented studio,
where she focused on her artistic practice.

Below are a few moments captured during Natsuko’s time in Venice.
I’ve kept the captions simple—just place names and quiet impressions—
so you can experience the atmosphere in your own way.

✨ Kaha’s Note
This journey was not one I took with my own footsteps,
but one I experienced through an artist’s gaze.
Through these images,
Venice felt layered with quiet devotion—
prayer, loss, rebirth, and light,
all existing side by side.
As I listened to Natsuko speak about her various experiences in Venice,
what stayed with me most was the story behind the name of the theatre—Teatro La Fenice.
True to its name—“the phoenix”—
the theatre has been destroyed by fire more than once,
and has risen again and again, returning to life each time.
Simply hearing this story,
I felt a quiet strength,
as if renewal itself were woven into the city itself.
Perhaps journeys don’t always require movement.
Sometimes, they arrive simply by allowing ourselves
to see through another’s way of looking.
In places shaped by devotion, resilience, and beauty,
it feels as though something subtle can be received—
a kind of beauty code,
quietly offered to those who are willing to notice.
