🕯️ The Quote

Each moment is the path itself.
— Kūkai

🕊️ About the Author

Kūkai (774–835), also known as Kōbō Daishi,
was a Japanese Buddhist monk, scholar, and the founder of Shingon Buddhism.

His teachings emphasize that awakening is not something distant,
but something realized through direct experience —
within each moment of life.

💭 Reflection

We often think of the path as something ahead of us —
something to reach, or to arrive at.

But this simple teaching gently shifts that view.

What if the path is not somewhere else,
but already here?

In each step,
each breath,
each passing moment —

there is nothing missing.

Perhaps what we are seeking
is not found at the end of the journey,
but quietly unfolding within it.

✨ In Practice

As the season begins to open,
you might pause and notice:

・Can I meet this moment just as it is?
・What changes when I stop trying to reach somewhere else?

Sometimes, the path does not appear ahead —
it reveals itself beneath our feet,

like light touching the ground,
or petals falling in silence.
