🌎Lead-in
The 2025 Lionsgate portal is active from July 26 to August 12, peaking on August 8.
This is a spiritually potent time to attune, clear old patterns, and open to new direction.
🌟 Bonus Timing: A rare 3-day spiritual flow!
- July 24 is Taian (day of great fortune), plus Ichiryū Manbaibi and Tensha-nichi(or Tensha-bi)—a powerful blend in the Japanese calendar for initiating new paths.
- July 25 is the New Moon—a perfect time for intention-setting.
- July 26 marks the beginning of Lionsgate, amplifying everything you set in motion.
I’ll share more about the Japanese spiritual calendar in a future post—if that interests you, keep an eye out 🌿
🌙 ① Align with the Lunar Energy
New moons offer a powerful moment for resetting your inner space and quietly tuning into what you truly want to call in.
We often hear about Sun signs, but Moon signs can shape your inner life even more deeply. For example, my Sun sign is in Sagittarius, but my Moon sign is in Virgo—which explains a lot about how I navigate both inspiration and structure.
Also important during Lionsgate:
Many astrologers note that Mercury and Venus—alongside the Sun and Moon—act as a kind of energetic team influencing how we process emotion, make decisions, and express desires. Their movements provide a backdrop for alignment.
(See Rituals & Reverences #1 – Lunar Magic for more on Moon timing and intention setting. Also, some sites are introduced there for practical ideas and use)
Try this: cleanse a crystal under the new moon, hold it in your palm, and say aloud:
“I am open to guidance that supports my path.”
⛩️ ② Reconnect with Your Ancestral Roots
In Japan, many people begin spiritual visits not with famous shrines, but by greeting their local land guardian deity (Ujigami / 氏神様). You can find yours through the Jinja Honcho (Shrine Association) They will tell you where it is right away.:

I used to focus only on famous or powerful shrines—thinking I had to go somewhere special to connect with divine energy.
But then I remembered the teaching that your Ujigami, or birthland deity, is the one who truly backs you up.
When you visit them first and offer your gratitude, they are said to support you as you travel to other shrines or sacred places.
It felt like discovering I had a powerful spiritual ally right beside me all along.
Ever since, I’ve been trying to honor that connection—
even if I can’t always visit in person, I hold that relationship with care.
It’s brought a quiet sense of grounding and a feeling of gentle support. If you’re outside Japan, the idea still applies—connect with a place that feels energetically significant. This could be a lake you love, a forest from your childhood, a family grave, or even a certain tree or mountain.
Standing in that space, or even calling it into your heart during meditation, grounds you into where your soul already belongs.
🌿 ③ Create a Sacred Space with Scent
Scent opens space within. It softens mental noise and invites the intuitive mind to awaken.
Use sandalwood or hinoki oil. Or burn incense that feels sacred to you right now.
Sandalwood connects beautifully to the ancestral realm—especially relevant in Japan as we approach Obon, a season honoring ancestral spirits.
Hinoki (Japanese cypress) brings a sense of cleanliness and peace, clearing emotional tension.
I like to light incense, or place a drop of oil on my wrists and chest and other chakra areas then sit in quiet before bed.
It becomes a moment of gentle tuning, a way to say: “I’m ready to receive.”
🌌 ④ Listen to the Messages in Your Dreams
I try to keep a record of my dreams—especially during Lionsgate, when they often carry subtle or sometimes powerful spiritual messages.
Even a single word or image can hold meaning that unfolds over time.
🌟A Dream That Pointed to a Portal
Some time ago, I injured my right hand. At the time, it was frustrating and confusing.
It healed, but much later—during the Lionsgate period—I had a powerful dream.
In the dream, the spot where I had been injured began to open. Then a large circular portal appeared in that hand.
Later, I remembered something a teacher once told me:
“Everything is an experience. Everything is a demonstration of knowledge.”
“Your powerful fall had a meaning—your broken path has to be followed.”
As I am right-handed and use my right hand when shuffling oracle cards, I began to wonder if this dream was showing me how energy or guidance might flow—perhaps through my hand this time, but also in other unexpected ways.
I also read that when your dominant hand is forced to rest, the opposite side can become more active. Since the right hand is controlled by the left brain, and the left hand by the right brain, using my left hand may have helped activate more of my intuitive, creative side.
I’m right-handed, so this shift felt significant—like I was learning to receive in a new way.
Whether or not the dream was literal, what came after was clear: I began seeing visions more vividly, and messages felt sharper.
Maybe it was a dream of confirmation—a reminder that healing always has layers.
So now, I always write down even the smallest dreams—a scene, a word, a symbol—because the meaning often unfolds later.
It’s not about interpretation; it’s about remembering.
🔊 ⑤Voice Your Intention with Sacred Sound
Your voice carries vibration. In many ancient traditions, sound was seen not just as expression, but as creation itself.
One beautiful example comes from the Katakamuna cosmology of Japan—where sound syllables are said to hold sacred geometry and energetic code.
For realignment and flow, try chanting Katakamuna Verse 5, which reflects the universal rhythm of emergence, expansion, and circulation.
✨ Katakamuna Verse 5
“Hi Fu Mi Yo I Ma Wa Ri Te Me Ku Ru Mu Na Ya Ko To”
These 15 syllables represent the natural order from 1 to 10, followed by phrases like “turning” and “unfolding”—symbolizing the spiral rhythm of universal energy.
Chant it slowly, 3 times, while breathing deeply and holding a clear intention in your heart.
This ancient sound sequence is believed to clear stagnation, open flow, and align you with natural expansion—perfect for days like this when everything is poised to multiply and renew.
I offered this chant to the heavens—asking that your energy may be cleansed and begin to flow with ease.
This isn’t a religious spell or ritual. Anyone can say it, anytime, in any way that feels right.
In Japan, there’s a beautiful concept called “kotodama”—the spirit of words.
It suggests that spoken sounds carry subtle energy that can shift your state and surroundings.
Of course, you can do this yourself as well—and I truly believe it’s most powerful when you do it with your own voice and intention.
If it calls to you, try it.
🌟 Kaha’s Note
A few years ago, I didn’t think much about Lionsgate. But once I began simple practices—a quiet meditation, a word spoken with sincerity—I noticed my energy began to shift.
I felt calmer, more open. Guidance came in more clearly.
If even one small piece of this post resonates with you, I’m truly happy.
This year, I’ll be going to Ise Shrine during Lionsgate. Every time I visit, something magical happens.
On August 8, I’ll be sharing an Amaterasu Oracle reading here. I’d love for you to join me.
Amaterasu’s light is incredibly powerful—and at this time, even more so. I can feel her presence strongly now. 🌞
