🌕🐉 Lead-in │ Full Moon Dragon Oracle from Origami Inari Shrine
The Full Moon invites us to pause, reflect, and notice what is coming into view.
In Japan, Chūshū no Meigetsu is the name for the autumn moon admired on the traditional moon-viewing night. In 2026, it falls on September 25, while the astronomical Full Moon arrives two days later, on September 27. Even when the dates differ, the nearly full moon on this special night is a beautiful sight to gather around and appreciate.
For this September Full Moon Oracle, I drew four Dragon Oracle cards during my visit to Origami Inari Shrine in Kyoto.
Within the shrine grounds, I found a stone with a story spanning two eras. According to the sign beside it, Lady Nagahashi and other women of the imperial court visited to offer their thanks in the late Edo period. Morgan Oyuki is also said to have sat on the stone and received a blessing.
I placed the four Dragon Oracle cards there, turned them face down, and quietly asked which messages wished to come forward.

Now, I invite you to pause for a moment and choose the card that draws your attention.
🌿 This oracle is timeless. Whether you find these messages under September’s moon or at another point in your journey, I hope the card you choose offers something meaningful to you now.
🌿 How to Begin
Before you begin, take one slow breath and let your mind settle.
You may wish to light incense, sit quietly for a moment, or simply pause and listen to your intuition.
Below are the four Dragon Oracle cards I placed face down on the stone at Origami Inari Shrine.

Look at the cards from left to right. Is there one that draws your attention first?
✨ Try not to think too much. Simply choose the card you feel drawn to. ✨
You may choose one card, or more than one. There is no right or wrong choice.
When you are ready, scroll down slowly to reveal the cards and read your message.
🌀 Choose your card before scrolling further.
The four cards are now revealed.

If another card catches your attention after the reveal, you are welcome to read its message too.
🐉 Card 1 │
Dragon Horse — Ryūma

⭐ Theme │ Choosing Your Path and Giving It Your All
Ryūma is a dragon who transforms into a horse and races across the earth at astonishing speed. The dragon could fly through the sky. Why, then, choose to run on the ground?
Perhaps the answer lies in knowing what this moment needs. Ryūma invites you to look closely at where you are and decide how best to move forward. The path that seems less grand may be the one that lets you do your most meaningful work.
When you find what you can give yourself to wholeheartedly, do not hold back because you think your abilities have a limit. Like Ryūma, you may discover strength beyond what you believed you possessed.
This Full Moon, ask yourself: What is worth giving my energy to now? Then meet that path with your full attention and passion.
✨ Message
Choose the path that fits this moment, even if it differs from the one you imagined. Give yourself wholeheartedly to what matters now, and allow your strength to carry you further than you expected.
🐉 Card 2 │
Nanda — One of the Eight Great Dragon Kings

⭐ Theme │ Leadership, Shared Purpose, and Strong Bonds
Nanda carries the presence of a general: someone who accepts responsibility, makes difficult decisions, and leads others toward a shared goal.
If this card has drawn you in, you may be facing a situation in which others are looking to you for direction. You do not need to have every answer at once. Begin by remembering what you are working toward and why it matters.
Nanda asks you to bring together your experience, knowledge, and courage. Listen to the people beside you and recognize what each person can contribute. A strong leader does not lose sight of the people who share the journey.
The way forward may still be uncertain. Yet when you act with conviction and strengthen the bonds around you, you can face the challenge together and make choices you will not regret.
✨ Message
Lead with purpose and take responsibility for your choices. Trust what you have learned, value the people beside you, and move forward together.
🐉 Card 3 │
Kicchō — The Dragon Tortoise

⭐ Theme │ Mutual Understanding, Unity, and New Creation
Kicchō has the head of a dragon and the body of a tortoise. According to a tale from southern China, a dragon laid two eggs: a dragon was born from one, and Kicchō from the other. Kicchō’s unusual appearance brings different qualities together in a single being.
If this card has drawn your attention, you may be working with people whose habits or ideas differ from yours. Perhaps you share a goal, yet cannot quite agree on how to reach it.
Kicchō invites you to begin with understanding. Listen to what matters to each person, and look for the strengths within those differences. When you gather them around a shared purpose, you may create something that none of you could have made alone.
The new form may look different from what anyone first imagined. By understanding one another and working together, you can move past a difficult situation and turn it toward a more fortunate outcome.
✨ Message
Understand one another, bring your different strengths together, and create a new way forward. What once seemed difficult to unite may become a source of good fortune.
🐉 Card 4 │
Rain Dragon — Uryū

⭐ Theme │ Nourishment, Tears, and Blessings
Uryū is the dragon of rain. Rain falls in many ways: as a light mist, a gentle shower, or a steady downpour. When it reaches the earth in the right measure, plants grow and life is sustained.
This card invites you to notice what needs nourishment in your life now. Perhaps you have been caring for others while setting aside your own feelings. Perhaps sadness has been waiting quietly for a chance to be felt.
Tears, like rain, can be part of a natural release. You do not need to push your feelings away or hurry through them. Give yourself room to feel what is there, and allow kindness and care to reach you too.
Uryū also reminds us that blessings can arrive gently. A little rest, an honest conversation, or a moment of comfort may be the rain your heart needs. Receive it, and notice what begins to grow.
✨ Message
Let your feelings flow, and give care to what needs it. Welcome the gentle blessings that nourish your heart and help new life grow.
🌿 Kaha’s Note
After walking around the Inari mound and greeting the deities enshrined there, I paused at the stone associated with Morgan Oyuki. I offered a prayer, hoping to form a connection with this place.
Sitting on a stone is such an ordinary thing. Yet knowing that Oyuki is said to have sat in that very spot gave me a strange, moving feeling—as though, for a moment, the distance between her time and mine had grown smaller.
Her story stayed with me. She lived through a changing era, faced uncertainty, and found her own way forward. I find something deeply inspiring in the thought of a woman seeking guidance while continuing to make a life through her own choices and strength.
I placed the four Dragon Oracle cards on the stone, then spent some time with the messages they offered. I do not feel that they need to tell a single story. Each speaks in its own way. Together, though, they left me with a question:
Can I open my heart to where I am now, look honestly at my situation, and choose what I will do next?
Perhaps that is a question for this Full Moon—or simply one to return to whenever the path ahead feels uncertain.
