💜 Lead-In
This Dream Amethyst was given to me by a dear friend during a retreat earlier this year.
At first, I was simply drawn to its beautiful patterns — deep purple Amethyst woven together with bands of white Quartz.
As my friend shared its story, however, I realized this was no ordinary stone.
Before arriving in Japan, it had already traveled through sacred places in Egypt alongside the friend who gifted it to me.
Ancient temples, desert landscapes, and places rich with history had already become part of its journey.
Later, it crossed oceans and eventually found its way into my hands.
Since then, I have carried it with me to a number of meaningful places.
Most recently, it accompanied me to Tenkawa, a place many consider one of Japan’s most powerful sacred sites.
In this post, I’d like to share the story of this Dream Amethyst, its symbolism, and some of the experiences we have shared together so far.
🌿Essence & Origins
Dream Amethyst, also known as Chevron Amethyst, is a beautiful combination of Amethyst and White Quartz.
Its distinctive V-shaped bands are created as layers of purple Amethyst and white Quartz form together over time, creating unique patterns that make every stone slightly different.
Because it combines the qualities traditionally associated with both stones, Dream Amethyst is often regarded as a crystal of intuition, spiritual awareness, clarity, and inner guidance.

💖 My Journey with This Stone
Since receiving this Dream Amethyst, I have carried it with me to several places that felt meaningful.
Rather than keeping it at home, I found myself wanting to bring it along on spiritual journeys, allowing it to become part of the places and experiences I encountered along the way.
One of those journeys brought me to Tenkawa.
Surrounded by mountains, forests, and flowing water, Tenkawa has long been regarded as a place of spiritual significance.
During my visit, I placed the stone on an ancient moss-covered rock and spent some quiet time there.
The moment felt simple, yet memorable.
The deep purple of the stone seemed to belong naturally among the green moss, the old stones, and the peaceful atmosphere of the surrounding forest.
Later, I carried it with me to other sacred places as well.
With each journey, the stone became connected not only to the places I visited, but also to the memories, reflections, and experiences gathered along the way.
Whether these moments changed the stone or simply changed my relationship with it, I cannot say for certain.
What I do know is that it has gradually become a companion on many meaningful journeys.

One experience from this retreat felt particularly memorable.
For many years, dreams have been one of the ways I receive symbols, guidance, and inspiration.
During the last journey, I dreamed of Animal Spirits.
Later, while sitting beside the river in Dorogawa, I drew an oracle card for myself and received Eagle Medicine.

At the time, I simply noted the message and continued with my day.
What surprised me was what happened afterward.
A few weeks later, while staying in Tenkawa, an eagle flew unusually close and remained nearby for quite some time.
During the days surrounding the trip, I saw eagles repeatedly, heard their calls echoing through the mountains, and became much more aware of their presence than usual.
One morning, an eagle came so close that it caught me completely by surprise.

Were these meaningful signs, simple coincidences, or moments that stood out because my attention had already been drawn to the eagle?
I cannot say for certain.
What I do know is that the dream, the oracle card, and the repeated encounters seemed to form a thread that gradually revealed itself over time.
This Dream Amethyst happened to be with me throughout those experiences.
Not because it provided answers, but because it quietly accompanied me as the story unfolded.
Small enough to travel easily, it often finds its way into my bag whenever a new journey begins.
And somehow, I have a feeling that both its story — and mine — are still continuing.
