“Aramitama” refers to the ‘wild/spirituous aspect’ of a kami – a powerful, transformative energy that can bring change or protection when called upon. It contrasts with “nigimitama”, the peaceful, harmonizing side. Ise Jingu even has a shrine dedicated specifically to Amaterasu’s aramitama, showing how both aspects are honored.

This message came to me during a visit to Ise Jingu, home of Amaterasu.
When I receive messages with cards at the shrine, I always do so respectfully and only when the space allows for alignment—never in the way of others.
This particular card emerged just below the main shrine, shortly before closing time, when the atmosphere was deeply centered.
Before drawing, I offered a prayer:
“If there’s something Amaterasu wishes to share with those who find this space, please let it come through.”
The response was powerfully uplifting.
At the time, I didn’t know this would become a blog—but the message already knew its path.
