💧 Lead-in │ Full Moon Healing Waters Oracle from Tenkawa Daibenzaiten Shrine
This autumn, after attending the Hachidai Ryūō Festival at Ryūsenji Temple in Dorogawa, I visited Tenkawa Daibenzaiten Shrine (天河大辨財天社) in Nara Prefecture.
The shrine is dedicated to Benzaiten, a Japanese deity whose origins can be traced to Saraswati, the ancient Indian goddess associated with rivers, flowing water, music, and wisdom.

With this connection in mind, it felt especially meaningful to bring my Healing Waters Oracle cards to this sacred place.
I found a quiet bench within the shrine grounds, surrounded by trees and a small stream. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, filling the peaceful setting with a gentle glow.
Sitting there, I drew four cards and took a moment to receive their messages.
What might the waters have to tell us this time?

The ocean has long symbolized love, beauty, mystery, and deep passion. Like its endless waters, love can be powerful, expansive, and full of possibilities.

Over time, water has shaped mountains, valleys, and coastlines, reminding us that great changes can come through patience and the natural movement of life.
In ancient Greek tradition, the goddess Rhea is associated with the idea of flowing. Her name has been linked to the movement of a stream, offering a beautiful image of life continually changing and moving forward.

Along with the four Healing Waters Oracle cards I drew for this blog, I also drew one card for myself.
It was Planetary Wave — a card about the soul’s journey, trusting an inner calling, and connecting with those who share a deeper sense of purpose.
The message felt especially meaningful to me.
Lately, I have found myself wondering whether our souls come into this world, choosing a particular life and body, to experience something that matters to them.
Perhaps there are things we are here to discover, learn, and create through the lives we live.
I also feel that meaningful encounters may still be waiting along the way — connections with people who recognize something familiar in one another, even when their paths have been different.
The image of rivers flowing together feels particularly fitting. Each follows its own course, yet sometimes their waters meet and continue onward as one.
For now, I simply want to trust the quiet calling within me and remain open to the people and experiences that may come.
Perhaps we do not need to understand the whole journey to take the next step.
